Calling for energetic individuals with experience involving professional development related to Classroom Management. The Educational Services Department is seeking individuals who are interested in being trained as presenters to deliver OSSTF/FEESO's newest workshop, Effective Practices for Classroom Management. In order to be considered as a part of our presentation team, you must be able to obtain time release (paid for by OSSTF/FEESO) from your employer and be available to travel to deliver workshops in districts and bargaining units in various parts of the province. An understanding of OSSTF/FEESO's structure and membership would be considered an asset. Because of the training and time involved, OSSTF/FEESO asks that you make a three-year commitment to being involved to the delivery of this challenging workshop. Presenters will be required to attend mandatory training sessions being delivered from October 15-17, 2009. If you are interested in applying to be part of this initiative, please send a detailed letter of application clearly outlining: - your current position, work location, district and bargaining unit;
- demonstrated commitment to addressing this issue;
- your suitability as a presenter;
- your experience as a presenter;
- two letters of reference from people (one from an OSSTF/FEESO member) who are familiar with your work and have seen you make public presentations;
- a work and home telephone contact number;
- a current personal e-mail address.
Applications and questions about the opportunity to become an OSSTF Effective Practices for Classroom Management presenter should be directed to Bob Fisher (fisherb@osstf.on.ca) at the Provincial Office (416-751-8300 or 1-800-267-7867) by September 25, 2009 at 4:00 p.m.. Applicants will be contacted during the week of September 28 to notify them of their status. |
