In response to the Provincial Government’s passing of Bill 115, D16 OSSTF is organizing three more rallies at the offices of MPPs in York Region that voted in favour of the Bill.
With the passing of Bill 115 – “Putting Students First Act,” Cabinet now has unprecedented powers to make decisions on our working conditions. It is important that we show our MPPs that we hold them accountable for the passing of this bill.
On Thursday, October 4, 2012 we are asking OSSTF members, collegues from ETFO and CUPE and the labour movement to attend one of three rallies at MPP offices in York Region and send a message that we will stand up for our rights.
The Rallies will be held from 3:45 to 5:00 pm. The riding offices are scattered around York Region, so even if you are not in a riding represented by one of these MPPs, we ask that you make your way to one of these locations. Encourage your colleagues and co-workers to come along.
