Annual Learning Plan (ALP)
All contract teachers must
complete their Annual Learning Plan – annually – by the end of October if this
is not your TPA or NTIP year.
In your TPA or
NTIP year, you will review your ALP with your Principal at the
pre-observation meeting, and finalize it at the post-observation meeting.
You are required to include
your goals, action plan and timelines, and “take into account” recommendations
of your most recent TPA.
You are not required to include school and
board improvement goals, nor to use the YRDSB form.
Principal’s have the right
to ask to meet with you to discuss your ALP.
If your
principal demands you modify your ALP, or refuses to sign it because of its
contents or format, contact OSSTF for advice. OTs and LTOs are not required to
file an ALP.
